Anything worth having is worth all of the hard work you put into it. Here's a little peak into my journey and hard work. I'm not just telling you not to give up because it sounds good, I can testify to it.
You know more than anyone how much this weekend meant to me (particularly Sunday's competition).. and even though I did get a bit discouraged. I won't quit. You inspired me last year before you were even crowned as Miss Kentucky. When you gave me encouragement after Berea/before Grayson last year.. you persuaded me to not give up. Then you went on to win Miss Kentucky and made me even more proud to call you a friend than I already did. I stuck to my word. I didn't give up and I tried again this year. Although I won't be on that stage this July.. I did 100% better than last year, and I have you to thank for that. I finally placed and having you pin that 1st RU sash on me meant the world to me. I may not have a crown on my head.. but I took a step forward this season.. and I plan to take another step forward next season. I've already said this numerous times.. but, again, Thank You. I TRULY couldn't do it without you. Thank you for always being so inspirational, uplifting, and motivating. Thank you for always being there for me. Thank you for always keeping a smile on my face. Thank you for those little reminders that my best is continuously getting better. Thank you for being you. In the year that I've known you, you have become what I would consider as one of my best friends.. and I couldn't thank you enough for that. Someday I'll be on that stage in July.. and when I am.. I want you to know that you are the reason I'm there. I want you to know that I didn't give up.. because of you. I want you to know that once I get there.. I will work my but off to make you proud. Thank you for believing in me. I won't let you down.
